  • Permohonan adalah dibuka kepada pelajar lepasan SPM 2010 dan yang setaraf dengannya.

  • Permohonan mestilah dibuat secara “on-line” bermula 14 Februari 2011 until 5 April 2011. Sila muat turun dan fahami >PANDUAN MENGISI BORANG<>

  • Setiap permohonan perlu disertakan Yuran Proses sebanyak RM20.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Dua Puluh Sahaja) dan bayaran hendaklah dibuat di kaunter CIMB ke akaun No: 0809-0004124-054 atas nama Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.

  • Borang Permohonan yang telah lengkap diisi hendaklah dicetak, disahkan dan seterusnya dihantar ke Pejabat Registri, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS melalui pos atau melalui serahan tangan di kaunter pejabat. Borang Permohonan tersebut perlu disertakan dengan dokumen dan sijil-sijil yang berkaitan yang telah disahkan.

  • Borang Permohonan, dokumen dan sijil-sijil boleh disahkan oleh Pegawai Kerajaan Divisyen 1 / Pesuruhjaya Sumpah / Penghulu / Pengetua Sekolah SAHAJA.

Qualifications and Eligibility

The following are the qualifications and minimum entry requirements for the TWCS programme:
SPM Minimum of 8As (combination of A+, A, A-)
Taylor's Foundation studies Minimum CGPA 3.20 / distinctions in all subjects
Foundation / Matriculation from other colleges Minimum CGPA 3.50 / 85%
STPM Minimum GPA 3.33 in 3 subjects (minimum Grade C)
A Levels BBB and above
South Australian Matriculation (SAM) TER of 85 and above
Canadian Pre-University (CPU) At least an average of 80% and above
UEC Maximum 14 points in 6 subjects (excluding Chinese), and must include 5Bs, English minimum B5


Other recognised and equivalent qualifications will also be considered on a case-to-case basis.Verification will be based on actual results.

Other requirements:
  • Applicants are required to write an essay of 300-500 words in the online application form.
  • The essay question: "Tell us about your career aspirations and what you have done to ensure that you would be able to achieve it."
  • Applicants must demonstrate an excellent record of extra curriculum activities, participation in clubs and societies, sports, community service and others.
  • Applicants must possess good attitude and leadership qualities.
  • Applicants must have a high level of English proficiency and good communication skills.
  • Applicants should not be a recipient of any other scholarships, financial aid or award from any education institutions or organisations.
Shortlisting of scholars will be based on the above entry requirements and performance during the face-to-face interview.

Application Process

Preliminary Assessment:
All online applications will be assessed based on the information provided in the application form as well as on the written essay.

1st round interview:
An interview (via phone or face-to-face) will be conducted with the 1st round shortlisted candidates.

2nd round interview:
Further shortlisted candidates will be required to do a presentation during this interview session with the Scholarship Committee and representative(s) from the partner companies.

Undergraduate (Bachelor Degree)

  1. Malaysian Citizen not exceeding 21 years on 1st January 2011.
  2. Obtained a minimum of 3A's & 1B for STPM or GCE A-Levels or a minimum CGPA 3.50/4.00 for Pre-University or Foundation or Matriculation Programme.

Master Degree

  1. Malaysian Citizen not exceeding 40 years on 1st January 2011.

Doctoral Degree

  • Passed the 2010 SPM examination with at least 8As (A and A+ only)
  • Not exceeding 19 years old of age on 1 July 2011

  • Flexible, versatile and posses high teamwork capabilities
  • Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports

Sponsorship to pursue Bachelor Degree (Honours) at foreign universities will be extended subject to meeting the approved criteria.

B. UNDERGRADUATE (HONOURS)

  • LOCAL AND FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES

Minimum Requirements

Fulfilling at least one of the following criteria:

STPM / A-Level - at least 2 A and 1 B ; or

  • Diploma / Matriculation - Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.50 ; or
  • South Australian Matriculation - ATAR of at least 85% ; or
  • American Foundation Program - SAT1 score of at least 1200 ; or
  • For candidates currently pursuing Undergraduate - Current CGPA of at least 3.50

and

  • Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
  • Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2011
  • Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue Undergraduate in 2011 at recognised local or foreign universities

Minimum Requirements

  • Obtained a First Class (Honours) Bachelor / Master's Degree or equivalent from recognised local and foreign universities
  • Will pursue courses that will add value to the roles and functions of Bank Negara Malaysia
  • Not exceeding 30 years old for Master and 35 years old for PhD on 1 July 2011

and

  • Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
  • Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue Master's / PhD in 2011 at recognised local or foreign universities

SINGAPORE SCHOLARSHIP 2011

Citizens of ASEAN member countries (except Singapore) are eligible to apply for the Singapore Scholarship.

Candidates must have an outstanding academic record, a good command of English and meet the entry requirements for NTU, NUS and SMU. They are:

Malaysia

- completed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
- completed General Certificate of Education Advanced Level with a pass in English and 3 other 'A' level subjects
- completed UEC examinations

  • The Singapore Scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to obtain the respective degrees at Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore or Singapore Management University. It covers full tuition fees and a living allowance of S$4,300 (covering meals, transport, textbooks and course materials during school semester) per academic year. In addition, a separate full accommodation allowance based on the room rates at each university or designated hostel will be provided during school semester.

  • One return economy class air ticket is provided for the Scholar’s passage from his/her home country to Singapore for the duration of studies determined by the Singapore Government. No additional assistance will be provided for other travel expenses.

  • A recipient of the Scholarship may not concurrently hold any other Scholarship, Fellowship, Grant or Award without the prior approval of the Singapore Government.

  • There is no bond imposed on the Scholarship by the Singapore Government. The Scholars are expected to return home to contribute to the development of their countries upon graduation.

  • The scholarship is open to applicants who have not gained admission and are currently not studying at the Singapore Universities.

  • The Singapore Government reserves the right to terminate the Scholarship if the Scholar’s academic progress is unsatisfactory or his conduct is in violation of the university's rules and regulations.

  • Application for the Singapore Scholarship must be submitted on the prescribed application form (The application form and supporting documents must be of A4 size and printed on one side only). Please contact the Singapore Embassy/ High Commission/Consulate-General in your capital city for a copy of the Singapore Scholarship brochure and application form.   • Applicants will be required to submit a typed-written essay of about 300-500 words. The essay is an important part of your application.

  • Applications must be endorsed and submitted by their respective ASEAN Governments. The relevant agencies to endorse the application are:

  • Late and incomplete applications will not be considered. Documents submitted separately from applications will also not be considered.

  • Please also note that most shortlisted nominees will take the entrance examinations set by NTU or NUS. All shortlisted nominees will also have to undergo an interview conducted by interviewers from NTU , NUS and SMU. The entrance examinations and interviews will be conducted in the respective ASEAN countries.

  • The decision of the Singapore Government on the selection of Singapore Scholarship recipients is final.
