The Panasonic Scholarship Program was established in 1998 in commemoration of the company’s 80th anniversary as a way for the company to express its appreciation to society.

Its aim is to provides cholarship opportunities to privately financed students from Asian countries who wish to pursue a master’s course in Japan, to offer financial assistance to foster highly educated experts who can contribute to the development of their countries in the 21st century, and to promote mutual friendship between their home countries and Japan.
Eligibility

* Applicants must be citizens of Malaysia.
* 25 years old and below.
* Applicants must obtain at least CGPA 3.0 and above.
* Applicants must major in any one of the SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY disciplines. Note: This excludes medical science, pharmacology and dentistry.
* Applicants must have completed 16 years of school education or have been accepted as eligible for enrollment at the targeted graduate schools. However, applicants must have completed their bachelor degrees no more than 4 years prior to the date of their arrival inJapan.
* Applicants must be enrolled as research students at universities in Japan from April in the first year and must also be able to take master’s courses by April of following year at the latest.
* Applicants must be medically fit and must be strongly motivated to study in Japan.
* Applicants must obtain a certain level for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

To be eligible for the Intel Penang Design Center Scholarship, an applicant must:

* Be a Malaysian citizen
* Be a full-time student in a local university studying in the fields of Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering
* Not hold any other scholarship from other companies, organizations, or Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA)**
* Have one or more of the following:
o SPM with A1 for mathematics and all science subjects
o STPM with grade A for a minimum of three subjects
o Matriculation with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
o For university undergraduates, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required

**Note: Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional Malaysia (PTPTN) loan holders are allowed to apply.

2. CARA PERMOHONAN

i. Permohonan kemasukan ke Universiti Sains Malaysia bagi Program Pengajian Lepasan Diploma/Setaraf Sidang Akademik 2010/2011 adalah melalui Aplikasi Dalam Talian (Online Application) sahaja.
ii. Pemohon boleh mengemukakan permohonan mulai 04 Januari 2010, jam 5.00 petang.
iii. Pemohon boleh melayari laman web http://www.usm.my untuk mendapatkan maklumat mengenai program pengajian yang ditawarkan, Syarat Am dan Keperluan Khas program pengajian di USM dan seterusnya membuat permohonan.
iv.

Pemohon perlu mendaftar untuk LOGIN dengan menggunakan Nombor Mykad dan mengisi maklumat lain seperti yang diperlukan. Nombor Rujukan untuk mengakses Borang Permohonan akan dipaparkan di skrin komputer anda.
v.

Borang Permohonan boleh dicapai selepas proses (iv) di atas selesai dengan menggunakan Nombor Rujukan yang dibekalkan.

Calon-calon lepasan STPM tahun 2009 yang berkelayakan adalah dipelawa memohon secara terus dalam talian (online application) untuk mengikuti program pengajian di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda (Ijazah Pertama Penuh Masa) di Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM Apex) bagi Sidang Akademik 2010/2011.

USM Apex menawarkan sebanyak 65 program pengajian di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda. Calon-calon yang memohon kemasukan ke USM adalah diwajibkan untuk mendaftar dan menduduki Malaysian University Selection Yearly Inventory (MunsyI) yang akan diadakan di pusat-pusat ujian terpilih di seluruh Malaysia seperti yang terdapat di dalam sistem permohonan (pohon@usm).

Calon-calon lepasan STPM boleh mengemukakan permohonan dengan mendaftar terlebih dahulu (secara percuma) untuk mendapatkan Nombor Rujukan dan seterusnya LOGIN untuk mengemukakan permohonan secara online melalui pohon@usm. [DAFTAR SEKARANG] Calon-calon wajib menyimpan Nombor Rujukan masing-masing untuk rujukan. Calon-calon adalah dinasihatkan untuk mencetak Nombor Rujukan dan borang permohonan untuk simpanan. Permohonan dan pendaftaran untuk Nombor Rujukan adalah secara percuma. Calon-calon boleh memilih sekurang-kurangnya dua [2] program pengajian dan maksima sehingga lapan [8] program pengajian.
